At W. L. Case and Company, we are dedicated to caring for the people in our community. Our experienced staff understands the needs of those who have lost a loved one and approaches each family with the utmost care and professionalism. We know how important it is to leave your loved ones in the care of those you can trust. That is why each member of our staff is dedicated to providing respectful and dignified service. For your peace of mind, we are available 24 hours a day throughout the year.

Some of our services include:

In addition, we are able to help with plans prior to a death. Our staff is very knowledgeable in the rules and regulations established by the State of Michigan regarding pre-paid funeral agreements.

 Brad D. Balderstone

Brad D. Balderstone

Funeral Director

Brad D. Balderstone was born in Saginaw and is a 1986 graduate of Dwight D. Eisenhower High School.  He acquired his professional skills and training at Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago, graduating in 1991 and achieving his funeral director’s license at that time.  Brad joined W. L. Case & Company in 2000.

Gabriela "Gabbi" A. (Hawk) Lynch

Funeral Director

Gabriela "Gabbi" A. Lynch was born and raised in Allegan, Ml. She graduated as valedictorian from Otsego High School in 2012. She attended the University of Michigan, graduating with a Bachelor Degree in Biopsychology, Cognition & Neuroscience in 2016. Gabbi then went on to receive her Mortuary Science degree from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 2018. She joined Case Funeral Home as an apprentice in September of 2018 and received her Mortuary Science License in 2019.  She married Paul Lynch in 2020; together they have two children with one on the way!  In her spare time Gabbi enjoys spending time with her family.

Jason Andrew Wright

Funeral Director

Jason has been working as a licensed funeral director for the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapels since July 2018. He is a 1997 graduate of Cass City High School. Jason attended both Delta College and Saginaw Valley State University where he studied biology and pre-mortuary science. Jason is a proud 2009 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and became licensed funeral director that same year. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religion and Philosophy from American Public University and is an adjunct faculty instructor at Delta College, teaching death and dying.

 Megan M. Van Hautte

Funeral Director

Megan M. Van Hautte was born and raised in Saginaw. She is a 2015 graduate of Heritage High School. After graduating, Megan attended Delta College where she studied science and pre-mortuary science. She acquired her professional skills and training at Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago, graduating in 2018. Megan joined W. L. Case and Company in September of 2018 and received her license in 2019.

Kory W. Batschke

Kory W. Batschke

Funeral Director

Kory W. Batschke was born in Bay City and is a 2006 graduate of Caro High School. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Central Michigan University prior to completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mortuary Science from Wayne State University in 2021. Kory started his apprenticeship through W.L. Case & Company in January of 2022 and received his Mortuary Science License in August that same year. 



Valerie L. Rueda

Valerie L. Rueda

Vital Records

Valerie L. Rueda was born in Saginaw and graduated from Buena Vista High School, the class of 1990.  She worked as a licensed manicurist for twenty-two years before entering her career in funeral service.  Valerie graduated Mott Community College, with an associate in Applied Science and Arts.  She then graduated from Wayne State University with a bachelor’s of Mortuary Science. In 2013, she began her apprenticeship with W. L. Case and Company and has remained on staff since.  Valerie specializes in vital records and filing all of our legal documents required for services.  She is a member of New Covenant Christian Center Church.

Robyn L. Auer

Robyn L. Auer

Funeral Director Apprentice

Robyn L. Auer was born in Bay City, Michigan and is a 2009 graduate of John Glenn High School. She is currently attending Delta College following the pre-mortuary science curriculum and will attend Worsham College of Mortuary Science in the fall of 2024. Robyn is a licensed resident trainee with the State of Michigan and has been employed with W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors since January 2022. She married Dayton Auer in December of 2013 and together have three beautiful children. In her free time, Robyn loves spending time with her pets and family.
