Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Covenant Healthcare, surrounded by his family. Age 68 years.

The son of the late Lawrence H. and Harriette A. (Eldred) Morford, Tom was born February 26, 1958, in Shields, MI. Tom graduated from Swan Valley High School with the class of 1978. He married Cynthia "Cindy" Bohinski on July 14, 1979. Tom worked as mechanic at both Bushey Automotive in both Saginaw and Midland, specializing in radiators and gas tanks. He retired in 2019 after many years of dedicated service. Tom was a proud volunteer firefighter for the Jonesfield/Lakefield Fire Department. In his free time Tom enjoyed tinkering in his garage doing automotive repair. He also loved hunting and camping with his family, especially at Burt Lake State Park in Indian River. Tom loved his monthly trips to the casino as well as an occasional McDonald's frappe, to him a "shmocha." He loved being the supervisor; telling people how to get things done and making sure to keep them in line. Above all, Tom cherished his role as a grandpa; his grandchildren were his world.

Surviving are his wife Cindy; five children: Tom "TJ" (Cherie) Morford, Aaron Morford, Anna LaClair, Charles (Christina) Morford, and Ryan (Theresa) Morford; nine grandchildren: Ethan, Sydney, Scarlett, Payton, Jaxxon, Gabriel, Ireland, Winnie, and Oliver; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Along with his parents he was predeceased by his siblings: Maxine Morford, Diane (Bill) Greenwood, Jeffrey Morford, father and mother-in-law Clarence and Alice Bohinski.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 125 E. Saginaw, Merrill, MI, 48637. Honoring Tom's wishes cremation will take place following service. Friends are welcome to visit with the family from 9:00 am until the time of service.
