Robert L. Wetherbee

Passed away on September 02, 2025, at the age of 80 years. Robert was born on May 26, 1945, in Adrian, MI to the late Ray and Virginia (Gary) Wetherbee.

After leaving Adrian as a young adult to start work in Midland, Dad spent a shocking amount of time riding his motorcycle across the country. Very shortly after marrying mom dad's greatest wish came true, and their names were Jessica, Bobbie Jo and Matthew. Dad dedicated himself to providing for our family while still having fun along the way. Did you know he spent a summer skydiving? And another summer logging hours towards his pilot's license? He was very active with the Michigan Bell workers Union serving terms as secretary, the Board of Education for Hemlock Public Schools and eventually the park board at mom and dad's winter home in Florida, serving terms as president on both boards. It seemed like dad never missed a game, a performance, a match, an award ceremony, or any other event his children participated in. After retiring in 2007 they spent more time camping than they did at home. Camping was time spent with amazing friends playing Jokers for HOURS and community bon fires that would bring hours of laughter. Then dad's second greatest wish came true and his grandchildren became the absolute loves of his life. Dad didn't talk about many feelings, but he was always quick to tell us how proud he was of his children, how much he loved his grandchildren and how incredibly much he loved our mom. Just a few days ago he told us again those feelings and that he'd accomplished what he wanted to in this life. I hope we all find that same peace throughout our lives.

He is survived by devoted wife of 42 years Kandy, daughters Jessica and Bobbie, son Matthew, son-in-law Rob, daughter-in-law Sarah, grandchildren, whom he loved more than anything, Rosie and Patrick, Easton and Emmett, and Faith and Lizzy. Bob is also, survived by his brother and sister-in- law Jon and Pam Wetherbee, sister-in-law Terry Loree (Howard), brother-in-law Randy Holcomb (Sandy), many nieces and nephews and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by parents, Virginia and Ray Wetherbee, father and mother-in-law, Clare and Eleanor Holcomb, and many good friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 5, 2025, at W. L. Case & Company Funeral Directors, 201 N. Miller Rd., Saginaw, MI 48609. Rev.
