Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on June 9, 2025, at his home with his family by his side. Age 70 years.

James was born on December 19, 1954, in Saginaw to the late Edward and Rose (Bliss) Meyer. He married Linda Brown on July 22, 1989. James retired from General Motors after several years of dedicated service. He loved boating, practically living on the boat up in Tawas during the summers and down in Destin, Florida, for winter with Linda's family. James was a big sports fan and a long time Michigan Football season ticket holder. For the last two years, James spent his free time doting on his grandson, Chase.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Brown-Meyer; daughter, Megan Lefkiades and her partner Chad Morgan; son, James Meyer, his wife Taylor, and their son Chase. James is also survived by his sisters, Jan Kemerer and Joyce Meyer, as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.

Along with his parents, James was predeceased by his brothers: Richard, Dave, and Mark Meyer.

Honoring James' wishes cremation has taken place. Friends are welcome to visit with the family from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd., Saginaw, MI 48603, where a memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm.
