Gerald Duane Crawford

Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on November 01, 2023. Age 83 years. Jerry was born on August 31, 1940, in Saginaw to the late George and Sarah (Redding) Crawford. He married Josephine Wanek on July 31, 1981; she predeceased him October 4, 2022. Jerry worked as an electrician for General Motors, retiring after over 40 years of service. He was a member of American Legion Post 22. An avid outdoorsman, Jerry loved camping and going on golf cart rides. He will be fondly remembered for his great sense of humor and for being firm but fair.

Jerry is survived four children: Randell (Tammy) Crawford, Ronald (Denise) Crawford, Missy Richards, and Jenny Wilton; 10 grandchildren: Roxanne, Jeremy, Joshua, Laryssa, Andrew, Lucas, Zachary, Donald, Dallas and Jason; many great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

He was predeceased by his wife, Josephine Crawford, daughter Penelope, parents George and Sarah Crawford, and brothers George and Dennis Crawford.

Honoring Jerry's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, November 10, 2023, at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603. Rev. Jim Doran will officiate. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral chapel from 2:00 pm until the time of service.
