Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather passed away on March 13, 2024, at the age of 89 years.
Ed was born on January 31, 1935, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Benjamin and Valeria (Dyczewska) Bogden. He worked at Malleable Iron as a truck driver and core setter, retiring after 40 years of service. Ed was a hard worker and enjoyed wood crafting in his free time. He was a kind, caring, generous man, always giving to charities. Ed had a very strong faith and was an active member of St. Dominic Parish, SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, attending mass every Sunday.
Edward is survived by his five children: Valerie Martin, Michael (Tonya) Bogden, James Bogden, Kimberly (Steve) Reiser, and Edward (Estella) Bogden; seven grandchildren: Lee Jean (Tim) Gogolowski, Michael (Jess) Bogden, Matthew Mook, Amber (James) Mook, Kayla (Doug) Lanagan, Erica Bogden, and Jeff Bogden; 20 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his siblings: Zygmunt Bogden, Casimira Sny, Adella Everhart, Dorothy Louchart, Angie Quick, Lottie Konkol, and Joanna Rondo.
Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at St. Dominic Parish, St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1310 Malzahn St. Saginaw, MI 48602. Rev. Fr. Richard John will officiate with burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends and family will be received from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603, as well as at the church Thursday morning from 9:00 am until the time of Mass. Memorials may be made to the
