Passed away on April 17, 2025, at the age of 102 years.

The daughter of the late Charles H. and Mary M. (Lobsiger) Baldauf was born on December 9, 1922 in Saginaw. She married Gilbert Lorain Spyker on August 6, 1949 at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church where they were lifelong members; he predeceased her on March 3, 2017. Catherine graduated in the first class of Arthur Hill High School in 1940 and received a Bachelor's Degree from Central Michigan College. Catherine worked as a teacher at Saginaw Township Community Schools retiring in 1980 after 27 years of service. She was a member of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel and Saginaw Farm Bureau. She loved to work in flower gardening, photography, reading, crafts, and fishing with her husband.

Surviving are nieces Sally Baldauf, Mary Tack and nephews Harold (Janet) Baldauf and Paul Baldauf. She was predeceased by her brothers Carl, Harold, Donald, Herbert, and Edward Baldauf.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at W. L. Case and Company, 201 N. Miller Rd. Saginaw, MI 48609. Rev. David Naumann will officiate with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 4:00 - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, as well as Wednesday morning from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
