Arlene passed away peacefully on June 06, 2025, at the age of 93. The daughter of the late Herman and Helena (Wardin) Kruth was born September 28, 1931, in Hemlock. Arlene graduated as Valedictorian from Hemlock High School, class of 1949. That same year she met Richard Keel at a rural country store in LaPorte where she worked. They were married on October 4, 1952, at St. Peter Lutheran Church; he predeceased her on January 15, 2020. Arlene enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, reading, playing cards and gardening. She was also an avid bowler for many years. Arlene was a lifelong member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hemlock.

Arlene is survived by three children: Gary (Laura) Keel, Ron (Laurie) Keel, and Jim (Karen Ann) Keel; ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband and parents, Arlene was predeceased by her siblings: Vernie Kruth, Melvin Kruth, Donald Kruth, and Elner Beamish.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2461 N Raucholz Rd, Hemlock, MI 48626. Rev. Dr. William L. Morris will officiate. Burial will follow at Richland Lutheran Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the church from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, as well as Thursday morning from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
