William Franklin Hoyt

Pittsburgh, California

Beloved father, grandfather, and brother passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at his home, with his family at his side. Age 81 years.

The son of the late Ulysses Silas and Lorena Mae (Culp) Hoyt, Will was born on November 25, 1944, in Auburn, Michigan. He was baptized at the Evangelical and Reformed Church in Port Hope, Michigan. Will graduated from Port Hope High School with the Class of 1962. He proudly served in the United States Army National Guard until his honorable discharge on June 16, 1979. Will continued his education by studying sociology and earning his Psychiatric Technician certification from San Jose City College. He also earned an Associate Degree in Art from Santa Rosa Junior College. Will dedicated 26 years of loyal and compassionate service as a Psychiatric Technician at Martinez County Hospital. In his spare time, he found solace in taking walks and enjoyed watching classic Army television shows. Above all, Will cherished the time spent with his family and loved ones.

Surviving are his sons and daughters, Nickolas Collins-Hoyt, Jolene (David) Reid, Tamara Hoyt, Timothy Hoyt, Trista Hoyt; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Marinda, Noah, Hunter, Logan, Sophia, Grayson; brother, Thomas Hoyt, Rod Hoyt. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A private committal service will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport, Michigan. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603.
