Wanda Jane Packard

Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister passed away on Thursday, July 6th, 2023, in Saginaw, Michigan, at the age of 79. Wanda was born on December 1st, 1943, in Midland, Michigan, to the late Albert & Vera (Rogers) Sasse, and was a 1962 graduate of Arthur Hill High School. She learned a lot from her mother Vera, studying to be a Certified Nursing Assistant and working alongside her for years throughout the region. Wanda was a devout Christian and proud member of Faith Baptist Church. In her free time, she loved word searching and playing games on her tablet, as well as watching the Gameshow Network. She passed her time peacefully sitting on the front porch swing and cherished the time she was able to spend with her family, especially her grandkids who have fond memories of Easter Egg hunts or baking cookies with her. Wanda is remembered as being a wise, loving, and caring woman who had room in her heart for everyone. She spoke from experience and passed on her values and morals to all those around her.

Wanda is survived by children Brenda (Keith) Irish, Gregory (Rachelle) Vargas, Jeffrey (Lisa) Garcia, Robert (Brandi) Coats, Henry (Susan) Coats, and Lisa (Nick) Smith; 21 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and brother James (Linda) Sasse; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members, and her best friend Bette Klann.

Wanda was preceded in death by the love her life, husband Thomas Packard; five brothers; two sisters; one nephew; and five nieces.
