Walter Lipski of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved uncle and friend passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026, at the age of 88. He was born on July 27, 1937, in Deby, Poland, to the late Marianna and Jan Lipski. Walter came to the USA in 1967, making Saginaw his home. He worked and retired from Saginaw Steering Gear in Saginaw. Walter married the love of his life, Jadwiga Joleniewska; she preceded him in death. He was a longtime and faithful member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. As a young man he enjoyed traveling, hiking, and walking. Walter also enjoyed reading, discussing politics, geography, and history.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jadwiga Lipska; parents Jan and Marianna; brothers: Edward (Weronka), Tadeusz (Aurelia) Jozef (Teodozja); sisters: Helena (Antoni); Janina (Jan).
Walter is survived by three nephews, six nieces, many great and great-great nephews and nieces; and friend Gin Parkhomenko, Janek Karwat, Katy and Jim Gerding who held a special place in his heart.
A funeral liturgy will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd., Saginaw, MI 48609. Rev. Fr. Peter J. Gaspeny will officiate. Honoring Walter’s wishes, cremation will follow with burial in Poland. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the W. L. Case and Company, 201 N. Miller Rd., Saginaw, MI 48609 on Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Holy Spirt Catholic Church.
