Vickie Lynn Harris

Harris, Vickie Lynn Saginaw, MI Passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Covenant Healthcare, age 67 years. Vickie was born in Saginaw, Michigan April 10, 1948 the daughter of the late Norman and Margaret (Zietz) Strecker. She married Duane Harris May 31, 1969 and he survives her. Vickie worked for many years at McBrite Manor Independent Living Facility. She truly loved her older folks at McBrite Manor. She enjoyed going to the casino and playing bingo. She was an avid reader and liked doing jigsaw puzzles. In addition to her husband, Duane, Vickie is survived by three sons, Daniel Harris, Ryan (Victoria) Harris and Jonathan Harris; a grandson, Benjamin Schroeder; three sisters, Peggy (Randy) Krakowski, Tina Strecker and her friend, Casper Markert and Bari (Todd) Clauss; her best friend and special cousin, Diane Sommers; her God-mother, Helen Krygier; two sisters-in-law, Flora Decker and Jean Kostal; a brother-in-law, Gerald Pretzer; many nieces and nephews and her loving dogs, Otis and Ollie. In addition to her parents, Vickie was predeceased by her father and mother-in-law, John and Etta Harris; two brothers-in-law, Dennis Haggitt and Kenneth Harris and a sister-in-law, Nora Pretzer. The funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at W. L. Case & Company, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the chapel Tuesday from 2:00 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
