Tracy Lynn Hanna

Tracy Lynn Hanna of Saginaw, formerly of Lake Orion and Flint, Michigan

Beloved mother and sister passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, October 10, 2022. She was 51 years old. Tracy Lynn Hanna was born on February 13, 1971, in Lapeer, Michigan, to the late James Hanna and Kathleen Waggett. She was a proud graduate of Specs Howard School of Media Arts in Southfield, Michigan, where she studied her passion in life, Radio Broadcasting. Tracy was employed as a radio DJ/personality throughout Mid-Michigan and the Detroit Metro Area which included: Wings 103/Radio X 103.1, Banana 101.5, Z93, and Wheelz 104.5. She loved everything about her career, from the people she met, to the events she attended, Tracy was aways in her element when it came to music. The absolute joy and the role of her lifetime was being a loving mother to Danielle, who was both her best friend and twin. Their lives have forever been filled and intertwined with laughter, bad jokes, and finding the humor in the mundane. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed watching cooking shows. When it came to cooking, she and her daughter spoke the same language. Tracy was also an incredibly talented artist and crafter, often creating beautiful works of art through drawing and sketching. She was also a prolific writer and used journaling as a means of finding peace and tranquility in her life. Tracy held a special place in her heart for animals, especially her beloved cats. She will forever be remembered for being a fun-loving free spirit, living by her own set of rules, and creating nothing but beautiful memories and funny stories along the way.

Surviving are her daughter, Danielle Emery of Little River, SC; brother, Terrance (Suzanne) Hanna of Southfield; step-mother, Sandy Hanna of Windsor, Ontario, Canada; step-father, Paul Bruner of Rochester Hills. Also surviving are many extended family and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Bruner; and father, James Hanna.
