Beloved fiancé, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Henry Ford Hospital; at the age of 58 years.

The son of Helen (Fernandez) and the late John H. Villareal, Tony was born on June 25, 1962 in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Buena Vista High School, the class of 1980. He enjoyed fishing, grilling, spending time with his grandchildren, and was an avid Detroit Tigers and Lions fan.

Surviving are his fiancé: Shari Fields; his daughter: AngelMarie Villareal; son-in-law: Melvin Hall; his mother: Helen Villareal; two grandchildren: Malaya and Melvin; siblings: MaryAnn (Carlos) Benavides; Nancy (Jose) Perez; Simona (Remedios) Orsonio; Beatrice Villareal; Frank (Paula) Villareal; Rose Corr; a sister-in-law: Cathy Villareal; special friend Andrea (Reyna) Lopez. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Besides his father; Tony is preceded in death by two brothers and one sister: Bonifacio Villareal; Margaret Villareal; John Villareal Jr.

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw. Deacon Librado Gayton will officiate with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral chapel. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, indoor capacity is limited to 25 persons, face coverings are required, and social distancing encouraged. We appreciate everyone’s efforts to reduce the spread of covid-19 in our community. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Tony’s grandchildren trust fund.
