Thomas Zieroff

Thomas Edward Zieroff, known affectionately as Tom, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family and dog on May 23, 2024 in Saginaw, MI. He was born on August 2, 1956, in the same city where he spent his life, Saginaw. Thomas was a skilled craftsman who dedicated 50 years to the art of making custom cabinetry and working as a finish carpenter.

Graduating from Swan Valley High School in 1974 as part of its first graduating class marked the beginning of his journey. Thomas was not only passionate about his work but also joy in various hobbies. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, loving activities like fishing and classic cars. Additionally, he found pleasure in making and savoring beer and cheering for his favorite college football teams. He was active as a trustee, elder, and school board member at Christ Ev. Lutheran Church in Shields.  Tom cherished his Lord and family above all else.

Thomas is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen Beythan, whom he married on April 16, 1977. Together they raised three sons: Jacob (Jessica), Ryan (Reba), and Caleb (Hannah). The family grew with the addition of four grandchildren: Jayden, Braylin, Katy, and Thomas “L.T.” Zieroff. Thomas is remembered by six siblings: Sheila Anderson, Gregory Zieroff, Pamela Burns, Eric D. Zieroff, Charlene Hill, Tonya Leitz; as well as numerous other family members and friends who enriched his life.  He is now reunited with his parents Charles F. and Shirley Ann (Erlenbeck) Zieroff and his sister Deborah Bogart as he went to be with the Lord. 

Funeral service will take place at 12:00 Noon Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Christ Ev. Lutheran Church, 8795 Ederer Rd. with Rev. Joshua Becker officiating with cremation to follow.  Friends may visit with the family at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 201 N. Miller Rd. on Tuesday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Christ Ev.
