Thomas “Tommy” Patrick Keenan

Beloved brother, uncle, cousin, and friend passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of treasured memories and the love of those who knew him. Age 67 years.

The son of the late Thomas L. and Leona M. (Quellette) Keenan, Tommy was born on May 12, 1959, in Edmonton, Canada. Tommy was a devoted brother, a loyal friend, and a genuinely kind man. He was known for his warm heart, easy smile, and generous spirit. Tommy had a special way of making people feel welcome and cared for, and he will be remembered for his compassion, humor, and unwavering friendship. An outdoorsman at heart, Tommy found his greatest joy in fishing and hunting. He loved spending time in nature, whether casting a line on a quiet lake or enjoying the peacefulness of the woods. Those moments reflected his appreciation for life’s simple pleasures and the friendships he built along the way. Tommy’s motto was “everything is doing good”.

Tommy is lovingly remembered by his brother, Kevin (Jennifer) Keenan; and his sister, Kathy (Scott) Listvan; niece, Kasey (Brian) Honaman; nephew, David (Megan) Keenan; great-niece and great-nephews, Payton, Tyler, Waylon, and Weston. Also surviving are many relatives and dear friends who will cherish his memory forever.

Although he is no longer with us, Tommy’s kindness, laughter, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

May he rest in eternal peace.

Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at St. John XXIII Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 419 S. Midland St, Merrill, MI 48637. Rev. Fr. Sunil Kumar Pallela will officiate with burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass on Wednesday at the church.
