Thomas "Tom" Micheal Klopf

Thomas "Tom" Micheal Klopf of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Sunday, January 15, 2023. He was 61 years old. Thomas Micheal Klopf was born on January 27, 1961, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Donald Jackie and Jeannette (Burns) Klopf. He was a 1979 graduate of Bridgeport High School. Following graduation, Tom honorably served his country by enlisting in the United States Navy, serving on the USS Anchorage until his honorable discharge. For over 40 years, he worked as a self- employed building contractor throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region. The role of his lifetime, and one that he took seriously, was to be a loving and supportive husband, father and grandfather. Tom met Melanie Sue North while playing darts and they've been inseparable for over 18 years, uniting in marriage on July 31, 2022, in Las Vegas. Throughout this life, he enjoyed golf, shooting pool, playing darts, and hunting. What truly brought him joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Though he could be stubborn, and sometimes appear "rough and tough", he will forever be remembered for his heart of gold, the selflessness he had for anyone in need, the kindness he shared for those he loved, and for truly living an amazing life filled with many beautiful memories and stories.

Surviving are his wife, Melanie Klopf; four sons: Christopher (Michelle) Klopf, Brandan Klopf, Thomas (Amanda) Klopf, and Ethan Klopf; three stepchildren: Samantha North, Alex (Alley) Zazo, and Brianna Zazo; 10 grandchildren: Noah Caden, Carter, Jordynne, Lily, Addison, Sebastian, Brycen, Emma, Grayson, Willard, and a baby on the way; two sisters: Vicky Ryder and Rebecca Forbes; two sisters-in-law, Mura Klopf and Jane Howard; mother-in-law, Susan K. Moffett; mother of his sons, Amy (Parker) Klopf; and longtime best friend, Norm (Cindy) Hutchins. Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Jack Klopf and Billy Klopf; and a sister, Mary Ann Klopf.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Four Points United Methodist Church, 9265 Geddes Road. Rev Rob Richards will officiate.
