Beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Covenant HealthCare Cooper. Age 72 years. The son of the late Robert and Monica (Nielsen) Luplow, Tom was born September 8, 1949 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Trish Strohschein on January 2, 1993. She survives him. Tom graduated from St. Andrew High School in 1967. Tom entered into the United States Armed Forces in 1969. He served in the Army's 4th Infantry Division as a ranger qualified staff sergeant in Vietnam in 1970, receiving a Bronze Star Medal with "V" device for heroism in ground combat. Tom earned a Bachelor degree from the University of Michigan in 1975 and Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University in 1978. He spent his entire career as an attorney with Braun Kendrick Finkbeiner PLC in Saginaw, where he was a partner specializing in business law and real estate. He was proud of his role in coordinating the initial acquisition, leasing and construction of the Saginaw Township Soccer Complex. He was a past president of the Saginaw County Bar Association and also served as editor of its publication, The Summons, for 36 years. Tom enjoyed golf, reading, travel, and many sports, especially cheering for his beloved Michigan Wolverines and most recently his grandchildren's athletic and artistic endeavors. He volunteered with and was a long-time supporter of several non-profit organizations, including the United Way of Saginaw County (receiving the Harry S. Lund Volunteer Award) and the Saginaw Community Foundation. Most of all, Tom loved spending time with his family, especially his close-knit group of siblings and his grandchildren.

Surviving besides his wife Trish are three daughters and their spouses: Sarah and Brad Ziegelmann, Saginaw; Kristen and Jim Ralph, Pinconning; Susan and Cortney Byron, Novi; six grandchildren, Brandon, Ian, Katie, Jason, Emily and Abigail; siblings Patti and Jim Roethlisberger, Lombard, IL; Joe and Karen Luplow, Saginaw; Mary Kay and Greg Chisholm, Harrison; Dan and Kathy Luplow, Saginaw; Martena and Kenneth Hall, Fort Wayne, IN; Carol and Tom Noland, Kalamazoo; Theodora and James Tebo, Anchorage, AK; his first wife, Kathy A. Luplow, Saginaw; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Janice Luplow, and one nephew, Mark Luplow.

Funeral Liturgy will take place 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 6400 McCarty Road in Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Richard Jozwiak will officiate. Friends may visit at St. John Vianney Catholic Church where the family will be present on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until time of Mass. Honoring the family's wishes, masks will be required for the duration of the visitation and mass. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Saginaw Community Foundation Cornerstone Fund, St. John Vianney Catholic Church or Nouvel Catholic Central Athletic Association.

Tom's family would like to thank the nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists and all support staff of Covenant HealthCare Cooper 7th floor and 6 North for their compassionate care.
