Obituary

Thomas Earl Miller, born October 26, 1941 to the late Earl and Catherine (Thom) Miller. Tom graduated in 1959 from Midland High School, joining the US Army serving as a MP with special assignments in Korea and at President Johnson's Ranch, discharged in 1966. Tom worked for over 30 years and retired in 1999 from Eaton Corporation. Tom was a member of the Hemlock-Merrill VFW Post #7302 and Twin Bridges Golf Course. Tom's hobbies and past enjoyments beside the love of his grandchildren were; many years of playing fast pitch softball on several area teams, golfing and his annual deer hunting adventure at the family cabin in Oil City. Tom is survived by best friend, soul mate and partner of 42 years Candi, they married in 1975. Also, his children Douglas (Patti) Miller, Terri Lynn Nuffer, Kristine (Tom Hanshaw) Miller. Grandchildren; Jeremy, Matthew (Elizabeth) and Charles Nuffer, Mitchell (Robert Stephenson), Brendan, Miranda and Nathan Stowers, and Thomas Hanshaw. Great grandsons Lucas and Nathanial Nuffer. Siblings; Jerry (Mary), Pat (Larry) Urbancik, Mary Aaron, Karen Sheridan, Sandee (Duane) Kruth, Ron (Colleen), golfing partner and brother Ernie (Barb), Mike (Pam), Helen, Rick (Jackie) Miller and brother by choice John (Darlene) Franklin. Also, many loving nieces and nephews and his furry grandson Marley. Tom was predeceased by his brother Bill (Cathy) Miller and brothers-in-law Michael Sheridan and Jerry Aaron. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel in Merrill. Rev. Richard Gossett will officiate with military honors. Friends may visit with the family on Friday at the chapel in Merrill from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
