Therese Anne Lockey of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026 with her family by her side at Covenant HealthCare – Cooper. She was 92 years old.

Therese Anne Bourrie was born on February 6, 1934, in Cheboygan, Michigan, to the late David and Lillian May (Deroshia) Bourrie. She was a proud graduate of Cheboygan High School. Therese was employed as a salesclerk with Jacobson’s in Saginaw, where she worked for many years before retiring after a long career of loyal and dedicated service.

Of all the roles she held throughout her life, the one she treasured most was being a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, affectionately known as “Gigi” or “Grams”.Raised in the Catholic faith, Therese found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed playing Bingo and cards, especially Solitaire, Euchre, and poker. She could often be found enjoying an occasional vodka and Squirt, keeping her nails impeccably manicured, or cheering on her beloved Detroit Tigers.

Therese will be remembered for her quick wit, wonderful sense of humor, and the genuine love she had for her family. She lived a full and meaningful life, creating countless beautiful memories and stories that will be cherished by those who knew and loved her.

Surviving are eight children: Steven Lockey of FL; Greg (Debbie) Lockey of FL; Mark (Helle) Lockey of Denmark; Anne Samuels of Birch Run; Joe (Liz) Lockey of FL; Mary (Tony) Laton of CA; Charles Lockey of Birch Run; Tish (Jerry) Maestaz of Birch Run; 19grandchildren: Maggie (Joe) Ward, Erin Lockey, Rachelle (Michael) Stachowicz, Nicole (Andrew) Werner, Jenny (Zac) Morris, Hannah Lockey and Mathias Faldt, Maja Lockey and Mathias Moslund,Klara Lockey, Kristine Harrington, Kari (Brandon) Forester, Zachary (Meredith) Samuels, Monica Lockey, Samantha Lockey, Andy (Rochelle) Laton, Sarah (Anthony) Crisologo, Emily Lockey, Gavin Lockey, Nicholas (Alisha) Maestaz, and Kayla Maestaz; and many great-grandchildren.

The family would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her very special friend and caregiver, Marea Potterf.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey David Lockey; the father of her children, John E. Lockey; son-in-law, Harold Samuels; parents, David and Lillian Bourrie; and her siblings.

A funeral service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 5, 2026, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd., Saginaw, MI 48603. Rev. Fr. Thomas J. McNamara will officiate. Family and Friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at noon.
