Theresa F. Crandall

Theresa F. Crandall of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Symphony – Tri-Cities. She was 89 years old. Theresa F. Martin was born on January 29, 1933, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Fredrick P. and Mary C. (DuQuette) Martin. She was a proud graduate of Saginaw High School. Following graduating, Theresa began working at Eaton Manufacturing where she met the love of her life, Myron Crandall. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on June 2, 1956; he survives her. The role of her lifetime was becoming a loving and devoted wife and mother to her four children: Myron J., Mary, William, and Mike. Theresa was a lifelong and faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church, where she attended both elementary and middle school. She enjoyed reading and crocheting. Theresa loved family gatherings and cooking her “big Sunday dinners”, always using her secret ingredient “love” to make all her foods and desserts taste great. She will forever be remembered for her being a caretaker to all, for her peaceful, kind, and selfless spirit, and for truly living an amazing life filled with many beautiful memories.

Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Myron Crandall of Saginaw; three sons and a daughter: Myron (Judith) Crandall, Jr. of Cullman, Alabama; Mary (Stephen Altenburg) Ball of Freeland; William Crandall of Saginaw; Mike Crandall of Saginaw; eight grandchildren: Adam, Benjamin, Stephanie (Matt), Melissa, Jeff (Christina), Joelle, Ashley, and Josh; eight great-grandchildren: Garrett, Bentley, Ryan, Lilly, Brooklynn, Serenity, Ava, and Gauge. Also surviving are many special nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Tammy Crandall; four brothers and five sisters: Joseph Martin, Chester Martin, Ray (Mary) Martin, Dale (Ann) Martin, Dorothy Martin, Ruth Martin, Violet Martin, Emma (George) Case, and Luella (Jerry) Sarata; three sisters-in-law: Mabel, Harriet, and Grace; three brothers-in-law: Charles, William, and Richard.
