Sylvia Jean Burr
of Saginaw, MI

Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on September 03, 2022. Age of 74 years.

The daughter of the late Howard and Vera (Pietsch) Menshardt was born on August 03, 1948, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was a proud graduate of Saginaw High School, class of 1966. Sylvia enjoyed working as an usher at the Temple Theater. She was a huge fan of the Detroit Tigers, always listening to them on the radio. Sylvia loved working outside in her yard, being in the sun, going to the Saginaw zoo, and listening to Sunday morning polkas. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family. When her daughter was younger, Sylvia would frequently take her camping with her parents at Lost Valley for years.

Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Penny (Dan) Beierschmitt, grandchildren Katelyn Marie (Justin) Vermilye and Daniel Wayne Beierschmitt Jr., and a greatgrandchild Hudson Vermilye.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw. Rev. Robert Tibbits will officiate with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral chapel from 10:00 am until the time of service.
