With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Suzanne Marie Cooper, who peacefully left this world on May 26, 2026, in Saginaw, Michigan, at the age of 82. Born on February 4, 1944, in Monroe, Michigan, to Albert and Jeanette (Saum) Sieb, Sue lived a life defined by love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Sue was a woman whose gentle spirit touched everyone she met. Known for her warm smile, friendly nature, and generous heart, she was the kind of person who made others feel cared for simply by being near. Her greatest joy came from her family, especially her grandchildren and great‑grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She created a home filled with laughter, comfort, and steadfast support — a place where everyone felt welcome and loved.
She found peace in the outdoors and cherished her travels, especially camping in new places and enjoying the beauty of nature. Sue also had a deep affection for her pets, treating them as cherished members of her family.
Sue is survived by her daughter, Jill Cooper, and her son, Ron (Jennifer) Cooper; her siblings Greg, Phillip, and Debbie; her grandchildren Stacy (Andy) Sharrow, Aaron (Erin) Maturen, Rachel Cooper, Rebecca (JJ) Johnson, Seth Cooper, Jena Maturen, and Tyler Maturen; and her great‑grandchildren Alexa, Hailey, and Meredith Sharrow, and Elodie and Greyson Maturen. Her memory will be lovingly held by all who knew her.
She is reunited in peace with her parents; her husband, Ronald Cooper Sr.; her sister, Donna; her daughter and son‑in‑law, Tammy and Gary Maturen; her grandson, Caleb Cooper; and a special companion, Don.
Sue’s legacy of love, kindness, and quiet strength will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 1:00pm taking place at First United Methodist Church, 4790 Gratiot Rd, Saginaw, MI 48638. Pastor Amy Terhune will officiate.
