Beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed away on April 14, 2024, in Saginaw. She was
born on August 11, 1959, in Saginaw to her loving parents Jeanette Elaine Coats (Ewald) and
Milton Edward Coats.
Susan graduated from Douglas MacArthur High School with the class of 1977. She went on to
serve her country with pride in the United States Navy. Beyond her military service, Susan had a
passion for embroidery and genealogy, hobbies that brought her joy and fulfillment throughout
her life.
Surviving are her sister Barbara (Mark) Davidson; two nieces: Mary Rose (Lawrence) Short,
Sarah Davidson; three nephews: Andrew (Alexa) Davidson, Daniel (Vannak) Davidson,
Matthew Davidson; two great-nephews: Brandon Short, and Michael Davidson. She also leaves
behind two very special friends who meant the world to her: Liz Armstrong and Brittany
Johnston.
Per Susan’s wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are scheduled at this time. Please
