Susan L. Shepherd

Hemlock, Michigan

Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026, at the age of 86 years.

The daughter of the late Carl E. and Myrtle M. (Flood) Trommer, was born on September 3, 1940, in Saginaw. Sue married Raymond Shepherd on November 8, 1958, Ray predeceased her March 12, 2023. Sue was a long-time member of Second Presbyterian Church, avid gardener, she was active volunteer with hemlock schools, she was a proud farmers wife.

Surviving are her children Irene (John) Sensabaugh; Mark (Annette Shepherd; Bruce (Peggy) Shepherd; Laura (Tom) Bosley; eleven grandchildren; Kelly Shepherd, Rebecca (Josh) Lalonde, Samantha Bosley, Aaron (Megan) Sensabaugh, Dustin (Amanda) Sensabaugh, Chad Sensabaugh, Meghan Shepherd, Jared Shepherd, Michael (Don Mazurowski) Shepherd Kristi (Ryan) Brugge, and Kimberly (Derrik) Crane; ten great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Residential Hospice for all the care they gave Sue and the family.

Besides her parents Sue was predeceased by her son Ken Shepherd, and her sister Julie Remer.

In accordance with Sue’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 12 Noon, Monday October 5, 2026, at Second Presbyterian Church, 2665 Midland Rd. Rev. Ted McCulloch will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Monday October 5, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Second Presbyterian Church, or Residential hospice or charity of donor’s choice.
