Our loving son, brother and uncle went home to be with the Lord, on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. Age 58 years.

Steve was born on April 8, 1968, son of Kenneth and Grace (Goodeman) Knoerr, in Saginaw.

He completed most of his education within Lutheran Schools attending Bethany Lutheran for kindergarten and completing grade school at St. John’s Lutheran School, Hemlock. Steve graduated from Hemlock High School, Class of 1986. During high school he was a member of the FFA (Future Farmers of America) and had been invited to Washington D.C. through the FFA to meet with elected officials. Being a farmer was his calling. Steve started helping his father farm at an early age. He had been employed with Card Brother’s Equipment for 37 dedicated years, while farming full-time with his father. Steve was very helpful to his friends and neighbors, fixing their machinery. Steve was very knowledgeable with troubleshooting and repairing combines, sprayers and planters. Farming made him happy! He enjoyed watching the crops grow and harvesting them. He also enjoyed fishing, bowling, riding his motorcycle and snowmobile.

Steve is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Grace Knoerr; his brother, Scott (Susie) Knoerr; nephew and niece, Corbin and Violet Knoerr.

Steve’s family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Toni & Trish House for the wonderful care given to him and to Covenant At Home Hospice. We were so blessed to have you all.

Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 2290 Pretzer Road, Hemlock. Pastor Philip Loescher will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 201 N. Miller Road, and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
