Sophie L. Compian

Passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2020. Age 65 years.
Sophie was born on March 24, 1955, daughter of the late Fernando and Louise (Martinez) Munoz, in Saginaw. She married Pascual Compian on November 12, 1976. He survives her. Sophie loved to cook and was the former owner of Shady Shores Restaurant in Lupton. She played softball for many years and enjoyed boating, traveling with her husband and spending time with her family. Sophie was very friendly, had a beautiful, fun spirit and was the life of the party.

Sophie will be missed by her husband, Pascual; her daughters, Frances “Denise” Compian and Elizabeth “Moda” (Ivan) Diaz; her grandchildren, Monica (Vincent) Rendon, Aaron Diaz, Carla Compian, Dominick and Christopher Sanchez; great grandchildren, Veronica, Emiliano, Marcello, Nicholas and Miguel Rendon; her brothers and sister, Edward (Leslie) Munoz, James Munoz, Vincent (Teresa) Munoz and Anna (Rick) Ortiz.

Graveside committal service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2020, at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, 7475 E. Holland Road. Fr. Frank Voris O.F.M. Cap. will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road.
