Shirley A. Jesse

Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Meadows on McCarty, with her family at her side. Age 83 years.

The daughter of the late Dorothy (Allen) Eisenbach (Grover Pettit) and Nelson Bean, Shirley was born on September 14, 1942, in West Branch, Michigan. On March 9, 1968, Shirley married Glenn Ted Jesse Sr., with whom she shared many years of life and family. He preceded her in death on December 31, 2011. Shirley worked as a nurse aide at Saginaw General Hospital, where her compassion and dedication touched the lives of those she served. Shirley had a deep interest in ancestry and enjoyed learning about family history. She also valued participating in local Indian tribal ceremonies, honoring traditions that were meaningful to her and those around her.

Surviving are a daughter, two sons and their spouses, Toni and Mike Roenicke; Tim Brown, Ted and Lisa Jesse; son-in-law, Hank Forge; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Don Eisenbach, Terry Bean; sister, Rancy Beuthin. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Besides her husband and her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her son, Richard Brown; daughter, Shirley Forge; daughter-in-law, Dineen Brown; sister, Cathy Metevia; sisters-in-law who were very special friends, Judy Jesse, Pam Cummings, and Lila Podojak.

Private services have taken place at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 201 N. Miller Rd, Saginaw, MI 48609. Burial took place at Oakwood Cemetery.

Shirley will be remembered for her caring heart, her devotion to family, her respect for heritage and tradition, and the many ways she shared kindness throughout her life.
