Passed away on September 13, 2022, at Brookdale Senior Living at the age of 89 years.
Shirley was born on November 1, 1932, in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Ernest and Julia (Engel) Steltzriede. She married Ernest Allen on May 15, 1954; he predeceased her on May 22, 2013. Shirley was a member of Zion Lutheran Saginaw. She enjoyed knitting and quilting.


Shirley is survived by her children: Kathy Leidlein, David (Lisa) Allen, Barbara Allen, Thomas Allen, Wendi Antku; grandchildren: Megan, Brandon, Andru (Kelly) Allen, Alyssa (Bobby) Maxwell, Dr. Mackenzie (Travis) Moquin, Josh, Adam (Harley) Antku; great-grandchildren: Aiden, Landon, Colton Maxwell, Theo Henry Allen.
Shirley was predeceased by a great-grandson Bodhi Allen, her sister Lorraine Arndt and son-in-law David Antku.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 16, 2022, at W. L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw. Rev. Sue Hand will officiate. A private family burial will be held in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 am until the time of service.
