Sharon Lee Verzinski, born on July 27, 1946, in Pittsburgh, PA, passed away in Saginaw, MI on August 27, 2025, with her children by her side. She was a loving wife to the late Floyd “Tut” Verzinski, whom she married on June 26, 1965. Together, they built a beautiful family and shared many cherished memories. Sharon was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She found joy in spending time with her family and friends. Her son Brian Verzinski and daughter Becky L. Verzinski, Ed.D. were the light of her life. Sharon took great pride in seeing them grow into successful individuals. Her love extended to her daughter-in-law Sheri and son-in-law James who brought warmth into the family.

Sharon was an exceptional quilter and enjoyed many hobbies with her family and friends to include gardening, canning, cooking, baking, and crocheting.

Being a grandmother brought immense joy to Sharon’s life. She adored her grandchildren Seth (Erin) Verzinski, Jesse Verzinski, and Lynn Olivia Verzinski Eckenrode. Sharon is also survived by her sister Betty Harvat, her niece Janelle (Bob) McGrath, and her nephew Gary (Theresa) Harvat. Sharon Lee Verzinski was preceded in death by her parents Harvey K. Giles and Madonna (Conn) Giles, and her brother Kenneth Giles. In memory of Sharon’s life well-lived, may we find solace in the love she bestowed upon us and may her legacy endure as a source of inspiration and strength.

Cremation has taken place, and private memorial services were held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to her granddaughter’s Swim Across America Making Waves to Cure Cancer Event to be held on September 14, 2025.
