It is with heavy hearts that we honor and say goodbye to our angel. Serenity Sage Rembert went to heaven on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the age of 3 months. Serenity was born October 5, 2025, at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of Ishmael Rembert and Stephanie Velez. Despite being so young, Serenity already loved watching Blues Clues and playing with her sister Samiyrah. She loved being snuggled and kissed.

Serentiy leaves behind her parents Ishmael Rembert and Stephanie Velez; her siblings Aleighla, Ariella, Isaiah, and Samiyrah; and her grandparents Joy Rembert, Rufus Rembert, Maria Gomez, and Tito (Roseanna) Velez; and great-grandmother Lollie Velez. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly.

Serenity was preceded in death by her grandparents Yolanda “Maria” Torrez, Ishmael “Tito” Velez, Augustine Rodriguez, Juel Graham, Romana (Elias) Gonzalez, and Oscar Landin; Aunt baby Lollie Velez and Uncle Abraham Velez, and Aunt Betty Velez; cousins Kapri Stephens, De’ Quaris Essex, Vanissa Flores-Velez, Keshawn “Chico” Banks.

Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 19, 2026 at Freedom Church East, 625 S 17th St, Saginaw, MI 48601, with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Jerry Flores will officiate the service with interment to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
