Sandra Lee Born of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved friend passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Symphony Tri-Cities in Bay City, Michigan. She was 77 years old. Sandra Lee Born was born on November 19, 1948, in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Douglas and Marie M. (Arch) Born. She was a proud 1966 graduate of Saginaw High School. Sandra later attended Delta College where she received her associate’s degree. Sandra worked for Baker Perkins, retiring after 20 years of service. She later worked as a medical records clerk for MCVI. Sandra wrote, “I had a lot of fun with my mom through the years. She even went horseback riding with me when she was 78 years old. My sisters and I were afraid of her riding at that age, but mom insisted she could do it. So, we went riding and had fun. As my mom trotted around the corral, mom said, ‘I still got it.’ I loved horses all my life and with the help of Carolyn Van Cise (now deceased) giving me riding lessons without stirrups and my arms stretched out at my sides, and I didn’t fall off. Thanks Carolyn and God. I had God in my heart all through my life, and angels with me especially over the fences that the horses and I had jumped. Through good times and bad, God was with me. I want to thank my friend, Beth Kawiecki, for helping me through some hard times and, my aunt Jean Arch for all her love.”
