Sandra Jean Henning, age 85, of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on March 27, 2026.

Sandra was born on October 17, 1940, in Saginaw, Michigan. She was the beloved daughter of the late Raymond A. Henning and Gertrude Frieda (Busch) Henning.

Sandra graduated from Arthur Hill High School. She furthered her studies at Michigan State University, earning a master's degree in social work. Her academic achievements paved the way for a meaningful career at Sparrow Hospital, where she devoted many years to supporting and caring for others until her retirement.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Sandra held a deep love for simple pleasures. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing puzzles. Her affection for cats was well known among family and friends, reflecting her gentle and nurturing spirit.

Sandra is survived by her sister Connie Deegan; nieces and nephews Jamie (Larry Valentine) Deegan, Mark (Staci) Henning and Matthew (Amy) Henning, and Patrick (Honnie) Deegan; great nieces and great nephews Alex (Kelsey) Barrientes, Wyatt and Georgina Henning, Carlie Henning, and Clover Deegan; and her sister-in-law Camille Henning,

Sandra was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Henning.

In honor of Sandra’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will not be a service.
