Sandra Finkbeiner

Sandra passed away peacefully at Barton Woods Assisted Living on November 25, 2020 at the age of 82 years. She was born on February 11, 1938 to the late Harold and Gladys (Loubert) Bluer in Saginaw. Sandra married Roger Finkbeiner on August 15, 1959 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. The two were married for 58 years before Roger predeceased her on May 22, 2018.

Sandra was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and the Saginaw General Nursing Alumni. She was a nurse at Saginaw General Hospital before becoming the Nursing Director at St. Francis Nursing Home where she retired from. Sandra enjoyed sewing, quilting, collecting antiques, and showing Bassett Hounds. She loved all animals and was artistic in many ways.

Sandra is survived by her children Jeffrey (Karen) Finkbeiner and Linda (Duane Lamberts) Finkbeiner. Also surviving her are her grandchildren: Kayla (Zach) VanMaanen, Andrea (Joshua) Hudson, Cole Lamberts, Brianna Lamberts, and her great grandchildren Emerson VanMaanen and River Hudson. Her brother James (Peggy) Bluer, sister in laws Karen Bluer and Janet Wells and brother in law Ronald (Mable) Finkbeiner.

She was preceded in death by her brother Harold Bluer, Sister in laws and their husbands, Verna (Robert) Ledtke and Mary (Donald) Wedding.

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at W.L. Case and Company (201 N. Miller Road). Chaplain Lon Crook will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place on Monday at 3:00 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Due to the worldwide health pandemic building capacity is limited, face masks are required and social distancing is encouraged.
