Ruth Ann Wood

Beloved mother passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 9, 2026, at her home. At the age of 75 years.

The daughter of the late Jeremiah and Ruth Curtin, Ruth was born on September 28, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Avon Lake High School. Ruth worked for the Social Security Administration before joining the law firm of Davidson, Breen & Doud, P.C. She later continued her career with MacDonald & MacDonald, PLLC, completing more than 46 years of loyal and dedicated service across the firms. Though not highly involved in politics, she was a proud UAW supporter and volunteered at many other political events. Ruth enjoyed traveling, with her favorite trip being a memorable journey to Tahiti.

Surviving are her son, Jeremy Wood; brother, Jeremiah “Jerry”; very dear friend, Jetaun “J.P.” Isom. Also surviving are many nieces, extended family members, friends and loved ones. Besides her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Melissa Wood; and her sister, Mary.

Honoring Ruth’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Visitation will take place from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Humane Society of Saginaw County or the American Cancer Society.
