Russell “Russ” Cole Morrow of Bridgeport, Michigan

Beloved uncle and friend passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, May 22, 2023. He was 102 years old. Russ was born on October 18, 1920, in Bridgeport, Michigan, to the late William Henry and Edna May (Irish) Morrow. As a young boy in the 1930’s, he worked for Nelson Dairy. In the late 1930’s, he left Nelson’s and returned home to work at the family farm. In the early 1960’s, Russ returned to the dairy industry and began working for Sealtest Dairy in Saginaw, retiring in 1974. Throughout his life, he was an avid farmer, gardener, hunter, and fisherman. What he loved the most was spending time with his wife, family, and going to his cabin “up north”.

He married Mable Norton Clark in 1966; she preceded him in death on December 17, 2003. Russ was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Kenneth and Charles; sisters-in-law: Ouita and Laura; and a nephew, Terry.  

Surviving are a sister-in-law, Pat Clark; Nieces and nephews: Lynn Case of Cincinnati, OH; Bonnie (Dan) Dibble of Saginaw; James (Nancy) Morrow of Bridgeport; Pam (Ron) Jarzabkowski of Saginaw; great-nieces and great-nephews: Jeana (Mike) Mueller; Tammy Jarzabkowski, Jeff (Becky) Jarzabkowski, Vicki (Scott) Norris, Michelle (Amy Johndro) Morrow, Michael (Aeryc) Brandt-Morrow, Jan Travino, Brad Case, and Susan Case; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews: Katie, Rebecca, Dalton, Dylan, Johnathon, Jeffrey, and Alec. Also surviving are a special caregiver, Deb Lang; and a special friend and buddy, Troy Clark.

A Funeral Service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 26, 2023, at the W. L. Case & Company, 5700 Dixie Highway. Rev. Kyle Hug will officiate. Entombment will follow at Oakwood Memorial Mausoleum. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
