Our loving father and grandfather went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. Age 79 years.

Rudy was born on June 5, 1941, son of the late Guadalupe and Rosa (Martinez) Garcia, in San Antonio, Texas. He married Irene Cruz, she predeceased him on November 18, 2017. He retired from General Motors after many years of service. Rudy loved the outdoors. He enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his family.

Rudy will be missed by his children, Yolanda (Fernando) Cordova, Oscar (Diana) Garcia, Guadalupe (Sharon) Garcia all of San Antonio, TX, Mary (Tom Alvarado) Flores, Defiance, OH, Anthony (Sheila) Flores, Anna, OH, Abraham Flores and Carl (Marcia) Flores, Bay City, MI and Renee (Kevin) Kilgore, Defiance, OH; 25 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; his sisters and brothers, Edward (Elia) Garcia, Flint, MI, Raymond Garcia, Dallas, TX, Rosemary (Jose) Diaz, Ruther Glen, VA, Juan Garcia, San Antonio, TX, Jessie Garcia, Flint, MI, Andrew (Gloria) Garcia, Saginaw and his former spouse and mother of his children, Elvira Rios, San Antonio, TX. He was predeceased by his grandson, Carl Stahl, his sister, Mary Saldivar and his brothers, Guadalupe and Julio Garcia.

Funeral service will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a charity of donor's choice.
