Our loving son father, brother, grandfather and uncle, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022. Age 51 years.

Ruben was born on December 23, 1970, son of Celia (Acosta) and the late Reynaldo Maldonado, Sr., in Saginaw. He attended Buena Vista Schools, enjoyed fixing things and tinkering with his different projects. Ruben was very artistic and enjoyed drawing. He loved to cook, listen to Mexican Music, spend time with his family and adored his grandchildren. Ruben will be remembered for his sense of humor and the love for his family, especially his mother.

Surviving are his mother, Celia Maldonado; children, Ruben, Henry and Olivia Martinez; his grandchildren, A’Celia, Antonio, Aaliyah, Aricela and Ameena; brother and sister, Reynaldo Maldonado, Jr. and Yolanda Maldonado; nieces and nephews, Sabina, Bakari, Maria, Jacob, Zachary, Anthony, Lucas and Ellija; aunts and uncle, Petra O’Dell “Tia Pete”, Margarita Casas and Frank Juarez, Sr., the mother of his children, Rachel Martinez; her parents, Henry and Margaret Martinez “Ma and Pops”, also many other relatives and friends, including his special friends, Shawn Moore and Glenn Taylor.

Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 7, 2022, at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road.
