Rose Marie Rardin of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, companion, brother, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Covenant HealthCare – Cooper. She was 73 years old. Rose Marie Hollerback was born on July 14, 1951, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Victor S. and Eleanor F. (Mose) Hollerback. She attended Bridgeport Public Schools. Rose met the love of her life, Harvey Weishuhn, while out with friends. They dated, fell in love, and remained together for the past 30 years; he survives her. Rose worked for Saginaw County in various capacities for over 25 years, retiring as a clerk with the Saginaw County Sheriff’s Department. The role of her lifetime, one she treasured and cherished above all others, was to be a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and companion. When Rose wasn’t spending time with her family, she enjoyed bowling where she participated in many leagues. She loved being able to travel across the United States, as well as taking many cruises. Rose also enjoyed pressing her luck at the casino. Though she could be a little feisty and sassy, she will forever be remembered for her laughter, her kind and loving spirit, for selflessly caring for those she loved, and for living an amazing life filled with many beautiful memories and stories.

Surviving are two children: Kelly Volway of Saginaw; Harry “Dude” (Paula) Volway of Saginaw; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; her companion Harvey Weishuhn of Saginaw; two brothers: Raymond (Elaine) Hollerback of Saginaw; Fred Hollerback of Petoskey. Also surviving are countless nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends, too numerous to mention but held closely to her heart.

She was preceded in death by a son: Darrel Volway; two brothers: James and Robert Hollerback; a best friend and sister, Linda Botwright.

Honoring Rose’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 13, 2025, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 5700 Dixie Highway, Saginaw, MI 48601. Rev. Julie Bailey will officiate. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
