Rosalie "Rosie" M. Ackerman of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved aunt passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 4, 2023, at Pine Haven Assisted Living. She was 93 years old. Rosalie Mary Ackerman was born on February 20, 1930, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Anthony and Rose (Greish) Ackerman. She was a proud graduate of Ss. Peter & Paul High School. Following graduation, she worked as a nanny for the Opperman Family and later at Rainbo Bread Company. Rosie then began working at General Motors, retiring with over 25 years of loyal and dedicated service. She was a lifelong and faithful member of St. Dominic Parish, Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Rosie enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She also enjoyed traveling and going to the casino. Above all, she treasured and cherished all the years she was able to spend with her family and friends.

Surviving are a sister-in-law, Gloria Dell of Freeland; two nieces and a nephew: Julie (Rich) Colpean of Merrill; Kelly (Matt) Darland of Merrill; Anthony Ackerman of Saginaw. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Rose Ackerman; two brothers and a sister, Anthony Ackerman; Theresa Magyar, Andrew (Ann) Magyar.

A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at St. Dominic Parish, Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 4735 W. Michigan Ave. Rev. Fr. Richard John will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Andrew Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to visit at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
