We’re saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Ronald Lee Sieggreen, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 30, 2026. Born on September 14, 1951, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Richard and Louise Sieggreen, Ron lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service to others.

A devoted Lutheran, Ron was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where his faith remained a guiding force throughout his and his family’s lives. He also generously gave his time as a volunteer at his alma mater, Michigan Lutheran Seminary, supporting countless events and activities over the years. Ron graduated from Dr. Martin Luther College, where he met his wife, Ellen. The couple was married on August 16, 1975 in Minocqua, Wisconsin. Ron not only practiced his faith but shared it with those he loved most, raising his family with the values of compassion, integrity, and devotion.

Above all, Ron cherished time spent with family and friends. He was known for his welcoming spirit, his love of cooking and entertaining, and the joy he found in bringing people together. Whether cheering on his beloved Michigan Wolverines or hosting gatherings filled with laughter and fellowship, Ron created lasting memories for all who knew him.

Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Ellen Sieggreen; his daughters, Sarah (Cory) Sulfridge and Karla (Richard) Ochoa; his son, Randall Sieggreen; his brother, Richard (Rosemarie) Sieggreen; his sister, Sharon (Leo) Kernstock; and his cherished grandchildren, Alexa and Augustyna Sieggreen, Lydia and Evelyn Sulfridge, and Brock, Richard, and Christian Ochoa; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Sieggreen II, and his parents, Richard and Louise Sieggreen.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on August 7 at 11:30 am at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4705 Brockway Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48638 and livestreamed at St. John's Brockway. Family and friends are invited to gather beginning at 9:30 am until the time of the service.
