Ronald Byron Fisher, age 89, of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026.

Ronald was born in Saginaw, Michigan on June 26, 1936, to the late Byron and Laura (Zuckschwerdt) Fisher. After graduating from Washington Gardner High School in Albion Michigan, Ronald proudly served his country in the United States Army. Once he left the Army he worked at the Saginaw Malleable Iron for 25 years until his retirement in 1988. Ronald enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, riding his bike, sports, and the casino.

Ronald met his wife Judith Ann (Szutkowski) in 1959 in Wisconsin and after a short engagement they married on October 24,1959, spending 64 years of marriage together. Judith preceded Ronald in death on January 16, 2024.

Ronald is survived by three children: Terry Darland, Mike (Peggy) Fisher, and Kristi (Brian) Wrobel; and three grandchildren: Scott Darland, Austin and Alex Wrobel.

Ronald was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Scott Darland; his sister, Sally (Dave) Beegle; his brother, Robert (Carol) Fisher; and stepfather Dominic Accetta.

Ronald was an extraordinary father and grandfather, whose unwavering support and enthusiasm inspired his children and grandchildren to pursue their passions. He never missed an opportunity to celebrate their achievements, beaming with pride at every school program and sporting event. His unshakeable optimism and infectious sense of humor continued to uplift those around him until his passing. Ronald and Judith created a haven of love and laughter at their cherished cottage, where countless memories were forged.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Ronald’s life will take place at a later date.
