Roberta Maria Lehr (Grise)

Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend passed away on May 30, 2024 in Saginaw, the town she called home throughout her life. Roberta was born on December 2, 1944, in Saginaw to her mother Katherine Emily Grise Carter.  She married the love of her life, Gary Jean Lehr, on March 28, 1986. He survives her. She was known for her strength, thoughtfulness, compassion, care, devotion, and warm outgoing nature. Apart from her devotion to family life, Roberta had a variety of hobbies and interests that brought her joy. She found relaxation in sewing intricate designs and enjoyed the friendly competition of bowling. With a love for sports keeping her active and engaged with the community.

Surviving besides her husband of 38 years, Gary Jean Lehr; are their children: Darlese (Robert) Greenman, Amanda Zimmerman, Laurie Lehr and friend Warren Corr, and Greg (Michelle) Lehr; grandchildren: Michael and Katherine Rios, Brandon Jones (fiance, Dezeray Ornales), Bridget Greenman, Erica Lehr, Joseph Stanley, Jeremy (Emily) Lehr, Brian Nelson, Leon Seiger, Lexie Lehr, Audry (Joey) Lopez, Katie Lehr, Kaden Lehr, Isaak Zimmerman, Mason Zimmerman, Parker Zimmerman; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and many more relatives and friends who mourn her loss. Preceding Roberta are her mother, Katherine Emily Grise Carter; brother, Mac McKeever; and grandson, Curtis Stanley.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation is set to take place from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 5700 Dixie Highway, Saginaw. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Emmaus House of Saginaw or Underground Railroad.
