Roberta Ann Bennett

Our loving mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 26, 2022. Age 86 years.

Roberta was born on March 3, 1936, daughter of the late Robert and Hazel (Aulph) Wolfe, in Detroit. She married Robert Bennett on March 5, 1955. He predeceased her January 17, 1986. She had been a longtime member of Warren Avenue Presbyterian Church until its closing. Roberta was a nurturing mother and loved caring for her children. She enjoyed spending time with her family, baking, gardening and people watching. Roberta never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone.

Surviving are her daughters, Wendy Bennett and Julie (Brad) Krause; son, Bob Bennett; grandson, Jeremy Vollmer; five great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; brother, James (Mary) Wolfe, sister, Susan Englehart; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to express their gratitude to The Care Team Hospice, in particular the hospice nurse, Don Lown for his exceptional care for Roberta.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 31, 2022, at W. L. Case and Company, 5700 Dixie Highway. Friends may visit with the family at the chapel on Friday, December 30, 2022, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
