Gross, Robert J. Brant, Michigan Passed away Monday, July 31, 2017, at the Cartwright Hospice Residence, at the age of 71 years. He was born December 21, 1945, in Saginaw, the son of the late Howard and Lena (Leiner) Gross. He had been employed Baker Perkins for 21 years, and later by the Midland Co-Generation Venture for 20 years. In his younger years, he was a boxer and won the City of Saginaw Golden Glove Boxing award against his brother, Ed. He enjoyed going to casinos and working in his yard. He married Linda Jean Prescott on September 14, 1968; she predeceased him on August 2, 2006. Surviving are his companion, Mary Ramirez; daughter, Tina Perkins; son, Jason Gross; seven grandchildren: Bradley, Megan, Breanna, Tyler, Travis, Trenton and Jenna; two great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, Robert E. (Janet) Gross, Edward (Kathy) Gross, Elizabeth Greenwood and Geraldine Nizinski; many nieces, nephews and their families. He was predeceased by five brothers and one sister: Jack, Don, Roy, Henry and Howard "Bill" Gross, and Donna Graham. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 3, 2017, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, where his family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, and then on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
