Robert Clarence Buse Sr, age 88, of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away at his home on June 10, 2026, with his family by his side.
Robert was born in Saginaw, Michigan on December 25, 1937, to the late Clarence Robert Buse and Leora (Knight) Buse. He worked for GM Metal Casting, Nodular Iron Foundry, retiring in 2007. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Saginaw. He belonged to Boy Scouts Troop 386 and was a Scoutmaster. He was an active volunteer and donated his time to the Friends of Bay City State Park, the Florida State Parks, and Saint George Island State Park. Robert was an avid duck hunter and was a member and devoted volunteer of Michigan Duck Hunters.
Robert was united in marriage with Kathryn E. (Bierlein) Buse on April 6, 1957. Kathryn preceded him in death on September 10, 2011. He was also preceded in death by his parents; sister Jean Ann Buse, brother Kenneth Buse; and his great-granddaughter Nora.
Robert is survived by his children, Lee Ann Buse, Robert (Jill) Buse Jr., Terry Carl (Jacqueline) Buse; and Michael Arthur (Karen) Buse; grandchildren: Brian (Karen), Jacob (Kayla) , Bridgett (Cameron), Brandon (Jessica), Kathryn “Katie” (Rebecca), Tyler, Garrett (Delaney), Evan (Jessica), and Sophia; great-grandchildren Logan, Luke, Lucy, Charlotte, and Beckette.
In honor of Robert’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held later. He will be laid to rest with his wife and lifelong love Kathryn Buse in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
