Robert Bloniarczyk

Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016, age 88 years. He was born on November 13, 1927, son of the late Andrew and Margaret (Skalny) Bloniarczyk, in St. Charles. Robert married Viola Spiker on November 24, 1951, she survives him. He served in the U.S. Army. Robert was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council #4232. He retired from being the Director of Finance of the U.S. Post Office after 39 years of service. He enjoyed bowling, trips to the casino and traveling with his wife. He will be remembered for being a great father and grandfather. Besides his wife, Viola, he is survived by his children, Harold (Cheryl) Bloniarczyk, Gary Bloniarczyk and Sue (Tom) Bucknell; his grandchildren, Scott (Danielle) Bloniarczyk, Jason Bloniarczyk, Amanda (Matt) McNalley, Nathan and Meghan Zehnder, Joseph (Rachel) Bloniarczyk, Jeff (Jessica) Bloniarczyk, Kristina Bloniarczyk, Austin and Matthew Bucknell; 8 great grandchildren; His brothers, Leonard Bloniarczyk and William (Jean) Bloniarczyk; his sister-in-law, Irene Pritchett; his brother-in-law, Martin Kern; his daughter-in-law, Betty Richards; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Frank and Walter Bloniarczyk; his sisters, Sophie Nerychel, Stella Dague and Irene Kern. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 14, 2016 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Fr. Richard Bokinskie will officiate with entombment in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road and at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
