Rita Aguirre

Our loving mother, grandmother and sister, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 27, 2019. Age 85 years. Rita was born on May 22, 1934, daughter of the late Pedro and Angelita (Hernandez) Lugo, in Progresso, Texas. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish and loved attending mass. Rita enjoyed singing, gardening, crafts and cooking for large family gatherings. She will be remembered for her loving spirit, bravery, being generous and caring for her family. Rita will be missed by her children, Robert Molina, Enrique (Karen) Palomares, Martha Palomares and David Palomares; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, Amparo Guerra, Socorro Rodriguez, Delores Mora, Francisco Lugo and Guadalupe Lugo; many nieces and nephews; also many other special relatives and friends, including her very special cousin, Marge Garcia. She was predeceased by her son, Anthony Palomares, her daughter, Delores Gonzales, her granddaughters, Melissa Marie Palomares and Theresita Molina, her grandson, Juan Trevino, her brothers, Felix, Vicente, Candelario, Frutoso and Adam Lugo and her sister, Eva Serrato. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 1, 2019 at St. Joseph catholic Parish, 936 N. 6th. Avenue. Fr. Joseph Schabel will officiate with burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at W. L. Case and Company, 5700 Dixie Highway, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. where the family will be present for a prayer vigil at 7:00 p.m. Friends may also visit at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
