Ricky L. Roethlisberger

Rick L. Roethlisberger, 74, of Saginaw, passed away on Thursday, January 5th, 2023, with his family by his side. He was born in Saginaw, on November 22nd, 1948, the son of John and Mildred (Calloway) Roethlisberger. Rick married his wife Gail on September 22nd, 1989, in Saginaw. He retired from General Motors in 1998 after 32 years of service. As an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed competitive shooting, sports and fishing. He loved to teach and talk about the outdoors to his family and friends. He adored his cats, fed neighborhood squirrels and delighted in the raccoons’ antics.

Survivors include his wife Gail Roethlisberger of Saginaw, children: John and Jamie Roethlisberger of Midland, Kari Roethlisberger and Tony Vettraino of Troy, Michigan, Michel and Hillary Roethlisberger of Albany, Oregon, Emmit Tomas and Kelly Green of London, Ohio, grandchildren: Zach and Elise Roethlisberger, Alison and Nathan Richard, Katie Green, Haley Green, Brendan Kischnick, Katelyn Kischnick, Haidyn Roethlisberger, and Asa Roethlisberger, brother: Gary Roethlisberger of Saginaw and lifelong friends Jim and Jan Cribbs of Vassar. He was predeceased by his parents John and Mildred Roethlisberger of Saginaw and his sister-in-law Marilyn Roethlisberger of Saginaw.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Saginaw Humane Society, Smyrna Bible Chapel, or the American Kidney Association.
