Richard Samuel Carlton Sr.

Richard Samuel Carlton Sr. (Dick) Clio, Michigan Formerly of Bridgeport Passed away suddenly Saturday, October 8, 2016. Age 68 years. The son of the late Cora (Lacy) and Kenneth Carlton was born February 21, 1948 in Bridgeport, Michigan. He married Evelyn Maatta, September 6, 1969. She passed away June 19, 2003. Richard served with the U.S. Army. He was employed by General Motors retiring with many years of service. He was a member of the Saginaw Lodge F. the Loyal Order of the Moose and enjoyed bowling, golf, hunting and fishing. He was an avid Detroit Tiger Fan and enjoyed discussing the games with his friend Joe. He raised Doberman Pincher dogs, love animals, nature and was a loving grandfather. Surviving are three children, Heidi Carlton; Heather Carlton; Richard Carlton Jr. and his wife, Lisa; two grandchildren, Savannah Carlton and Abigail Davis; a brother, Kenneth Carlton Jr. and his wife, Connie; a sister, Judy Spencer; several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Ronald and Thomas Carlton and a sister, Bernice Pack have predeceased him. The funeral service will take place at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2016, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Bill Bodnar will officiate. Friends may call at the Chapel from Noon Saturday until the time of the funeral service.
